Tengile River Lodge is andBeyond's most contemporary lodge in the Sabi Sand, set on a bend of the Sand River. Nine large suites are hidden in the riverine forest, each with its own lap pool, outdoor shower and deck facing the river.
Inside, the design is warm and modern, with reclaimed wood, stone and bold artwork, and the main lodge has a lounge with a fireplace, a bar and a dining deck under the trees. Two suites can be joined to make a family suite.
The area is known for leopard, and the guiding and vehicle limits at sightings make for quiet, unhurried game viewing. Children 12 and older are welcome.
