Zambia

The home of the walking safari
The country

Raw, authentic and on foot

The walking safari was born in Zambia's Luangwa Valley, and the country still offers some of the most authentic, unhurried safaris in Africa. Small camps, expert guides and very few visitors make it a favourite with experienced travellers.

South Luangwa is famous for leopard and walking, the Lower Zambezi for canoeing past elephants and hippos, and the vast Kafue for wild, empty landscapes.
