Six suites, deep quiet and elephants at the pool

Silvan is a small, contemporary lodge in the Sabi Sand, inspired by the trees around it and designed for calm. With just six suites, it feels more like a private home than a hotel, and the focus is on slowing down, eating well and being fully present in the bush.

Each suite has a private plunge pool overlooking a dry riverbed, where elephants often wander through. The main lodge has a long pool, a deck for sunset drinks and a lantern-lit walkway, and dinners are often served by candlelight on the deck.

The game viewing is excellent, with leopard, lion and elephant regularly seen, and the guiding is personal and unhurried.
