The destination

The home of the walking safari

South Luangwa is where the walking safari began, and it is still one of the best places in Africa to explore on foot. The Luangwa River and its oxbow lagoons support dense wildlife, and the park is renowned for leopard, including on night drives.

Small, owner-run bush camps and excellent guides give it a personal, authentic feel.
