The destination

Walking with elephants on the Zambezi

Mana Pools is one of Africa's most beautiful wilderness areas: open floodplains and towering trees along the Zambezi River, with elephants, lion and wild dog. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa for walking safaris.

Canoeing on the Zambezi is a highlight. Most camps are open in the dry season only, and the best time is from about August to October.
