The lodge

A private concession with a story, where two rivers meet

Jock Safari Lodge is named after Jock of the Bushveld, the famous dog of Kruger legend, and it stands where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers meet in a private concession in Kruger's south-west. It was the first private lodge in the national park.

Twelve thatched suites each have a private plunge pool and a deck, some with a freestanding bath outside. The main lodge has a lounge deck lit by lanterns in the trees, a dining deck over the river and a fire pit for stories after dinner, and elephants often walk past the lodge.

For a night to remember, sleep out in the treehouse above the riverbed. Jock is excellent value for a private concession.

Best forCouples and adults; families at the private Fitzpatrick's villa.
