Warm, welcoming and full of small surprises
Idube is a long-established lodge in the western Sabi Sand, and its warmth is the first thing guests notice. Raised walkways wind through the bush between the suites and the main lodge, and a swing bridge leads out to a hide over a waterhole, where you can sit quietly and watch animals come to drink.
Suites come in three styles, all with private decks and plunge pools. The main lodge has a lounge opening onto the gardens, a pool and a boma for dinners under the stars, and the resident nyala often wander through camp.
The western Sabi Sand is excellent for leopard, and Idube's rangers and trackers make the most of it on morning and afternoon drives, with guided walks for guests staying two nights or more.
